What is the Divi Breadcrumbs module?

Breadcrumbs is a Divi 5 module in Divi Supreme Pro that shows where a page sits in your site, from Home down to the page the visitor is on. It reads the trail from WordPress, so posts, pages, categories, products and archives all work.

Change the home text and link, show or hide the home icon, pick any separator icon, and style items, separators and the current page separately. BreadcrumbList schema markup is built in.

Questions about Breadcrumbs.

Where does the trail come from?

From WordPress. The module works out the parent pages, categories or product categories for the page it is on, so you add it once in a Theme Builder template and it works everywhere.

Can I change the Home link?

Yes. Change Home Text, turn on Use Custom URL Link for Home to send it to any URL, and choose the same window or a new tab.

Can I change the icons?

Yes. Show or hide the home icon and pick any Divi icon for it. Turn on Custom Separator Icon to choose the separator icon too.

Does it add schema markup?

Yes. Schema Markup (BreadcrumbList) is on by default and outputs microdata for search engines. Turn it off if your SEO plugin already adds breadcrumb schema.

Can I style the current page differently?

Yes. Items, Separators and Current each have their own background colour, font, spacing and bottom gap.

What if the trail wraps on mobile?

Use the Bottom Gap settings to add space below each crumb when the trail runs onto a second line.

Does Breadcrumbs work with Divi 5 and WPML?

Yes. It is a native Divi 5 module and follows translated pages and categories in WPML.
