Yes. Build your forms in Contact Form 7, then pick one in the module. The module adds the Divi styling.

Do I need a shortcode?

No. Choose the form from the Contact Form 7 dropdown in the module settings.

How do I style the error messages?

Turn on Show Error & Validation Messages. They then show in the builder so you can style them. The form itself only sends on the live page.

Yes. Sending, mail settings and spam protection all stay with Contact Form 7.

Yes. Each module has its own styling, so the same form can look different in a footer and on a contact page.
