Three steps. All inside Divi.

Design the popup, set it up in the Popup Customiser, then attach it to any module. It is a saved Divi layout, so it already uses your fonts, colors and modules.

01

Design it as a layout

Build the popup in the Visual Builder with any Divi module and save it to the Divi Library. That layout is the popup.

02

Set it up in the Popup Customiser

Open the layout's Popup Customiser. Under Settings, turn on Enable Popup and pick the type and trigger. Under Design, style the overlay, size, close icon and animations.

03

Attach it to any module

In any module's Advanced tab, open the Popup group, turn on Use Popup and select your layout. Preview it on the page, then publish.

What you see is what you get.

Design the popup in the Divi Library, preview it on your page in the builder, then publish. Visitors see exactly what you previewed.

Questions, answered.

Every setting is in the Popup docs. Something else? Ask the team.

Is the Popup extension included in Divi Supreme Pro?

Yes. Popup is one of 16 extensions in Divi Supreme Pro, alongside 70+ modules. There is no separate popup license to buy or renew.

How do I create a popup in Divi 5?

Design the popup as a Divi Library layout. Open its Popup Customiser, turn on Enable Popup and choose a type and trigger. Then, in any module, open Advanced, Popup, turn on Use Popup and select the layout.

Can I preview the popup before I publish?

Yes. Modules that open a popup carry a Popup badge in the Visual Builder. In Wireframe view, click Preview to open the popup on the page you are editing. It uses the same markup and CSS as the live page, so visitors see exactly what you previewed.

Which triggers can open a popup?

Module click, hover, enter viewport and leave viewport, any element with a CSS class or ID, page load, exit intent, and WooCommerce cart events.

Can a menu item open a popup?

Yes. Set the Popup Type to Target by CSS Class, then add the same class to the menu item in Appearance, Menus.

Can a popup open after a product is added to the cart?

Yes. Choose the WooCommerce popup type and pick Added to Cart, Removed from Cart, Cart Updated, Coupon Applied or Coupon Removed.

Can I limit how often a visitor sees it?

Yes. Set "How often opens are allowed" to per browser session, calendar day, week or month, and choose the max opens in that period.

Can a popup close on its own?

Yes. Turn on Auto Close Popup and set Close after X seconds (20 s by default). You can also let visitors close it with an overlay click, the Escape key, a custom close icon or any element you choose.

Can I animate the popup in and out?

Yes. The Design tab has 43 entrance and 32 exit animations, such as zoomIn, bounceIn and Fade Out Down, each with its own duration and delay.

Can visitors keep using the page while a popup is open?

Yes. Turn off Show Overlay and the popup appears without a backdrop, so the page behind it stays clickable. Set Position to Fixed to pin it while the page scrolls.

Will it slow my site down?

Any extension you switch off never loads. Turn Popup off under Divi Supreme, Extensions, on sites that do not use it.
