How to use social media to grow a business
As we already mentioned earlier, social media offers so many opportunities that it’s probably crazy to overlook it today if you’re serious about business growth. With social platforms, you can:
- Build brand awareness
- Provide customer support
- Create business networks and partnerships
- Increase website traffic
- Track competition
Using social media for branding
It’s often said that people buy from those they know and trust. This is why one of your key goals as a business owner should always be to boost visibility, even when you are not actively selling your products or services.
Social media allows you to reach a wider audience and connect with potential customers at a more personal level. Use it to share your passion and also to tell your brand story, including what your business has in it for your users. And if you are looking to attract quality employees or partners, social media enables you to show off your unique personality and brand culture.
Customer support
If you want to succeed and outdo your competition, one of the most effective ways is to show a deep understanding of and deliver the best possible customer support. Strive to always provide the most pleasant experience to your existing and potential customers whenever they are visiting your business.
Social media offers you an excellent platform where you can interact directly and quickly with your customers. What this means is that you can collect feedback much quicker, which is vital in boosting customer confidence and maintaining a good reputation.
Create valuable networks and partnerships
Social media has made it easier for people to connect more and better than ever before. Today, you can communicate directly with anyone you wish to, including those who were hitherto considered unreachable due to their high status in society. Just a few years ago, it was pretty much unimaginable for the average Joes to interact with high-profilers like actors, athletes, and politicians. But now, social media makes all that easy thanks to platforms like Twitter and Facebook that allow you to follow, engage, and even private message your icons and anyone you’d otherwise not access easily out here.
When running a brand or an online business, you can leverage this exceptional power social media to build quality relationships with people whose simple actions like shout-outs can significantly impact your branding and customer trust. Can you imagine the impact of a mention of your business by a respected industry expert can have on your business? That right there lies the power of social media.
Increase website traffic
When using social media for business marketing, one of your goals should be to reach different audiences, including those you haven’t had the opportunity to engage with previously. While at it, try to communicate in the most personable and entertaining way possible and direct them to your website or even your physical store.
Additionally, you can use social media to create backlinks to your website which then increases the visibility of your online business on organic search results. While studies show that social media links do not carry a lot of weight when used for purposes of SEO, they can help to send relevancy signals and also improve the health of your backlink profile.
Track competition
Let’s face it, no one is perfect and completely self-reliant, and this means we can all learn new things from others including our competitors. Social media allows you to keep tabs on what your competition is doing, especially in regards to the marketing tactics they’re using to promote themselves. In the end, you can discover ways to improve your business including enhancing your products and services.
How to integrate social media into your site using Divi Supreme
If you’re serious about growing your online brand, then one of the first things you need to do is to ensure your website and social media work together in harmony. Having described several key reasons to invest in social media, we’ll now show you how you can successfully integrate popular platforms like Facebook and Twitter into your Divi-powered website.
All this is made possible and simple by Divi Supreme, which is a must-have tool for any web designer or business owner looking to get the best out of the Divi builder. This plugin comes with over 32 additional Divi modules and six extensions that you can use on top of those provided by the Divi builder. Among its top features are Divi Facebook Comments, Divi Facebook Feed, and Divi Twitter Timeline modules for social media integrations.
Divi Supreme Facebook Comments Module
Just as the name suggests, the Facebook Comments Module allows you to add a Facebook comments section to your Divi site quite easily. This way, users can comment on your site using their Facebook account in a system that replaces the regular WordPress commenting system.
There are several reasons you may prefer to use Facebook Comments over other commenting systems. For starters, this system has less spam as commenters have to log in to their Facebook accounts before they can post their comments. Once logged in, users can also tag their friends, like and comment on other commenters, and even share their comments on Facebook. This can prove quite handy if you’re looking to boost engagement and shareability of your articles.
When using Divi or the Extra theme, there are several ways you can add Facebook Comments, but none is as easy as using Divi Supreme. With our plugin, all you need is to choose a URL in your site where you’d like to have the Facebook Commenting system appear. Open the Supreme Facebook Comments Module, add the URL, and save changes. No code or CSS is needed to implement this system.
What’s more, you can customize various aspects of your comments, including sorting them by Newest First, Oldest First, or Top. You can also set the maximum number of comments visible on your page at any time. Finally, you can also add a Facebook App ID of an account you’d use to moderate the comments.
Divi Supreme Facebook Feed Module
Do you have a Facebook page for your business that you’d like to display on your site? Divi Supreme has a special feature for you.
Using our Facebook Feed Module, you’re able to add the page feed without having to embed it. All you need is to open the module’s settings, input your Facebook Page URL, and choose how you’d like the feed to appear. For example, you can decide to hide or show your page cover photo and also set the maximum number of results per feed. Again, you do not have to use any code to implement this module. The process is as simple as it sounds!
Divi Embed Twitter Timeline Module
Twitter is one of the most engaging social media platforms for marketers looking to promote their businesses online. With a decent following on this social site, you can quickly drive tons of traffic to your website and grow your brand.
Embedding a Twitter Feed to your Divi site is a sure way to boost engagement levels around your brand and an excellent strategy to market your business. Using Divi Supreme’s Twitter Timeline Module, it’s surprisingly easy to add a Twitter feed to your website. All you need is to open the module, add your Twitter username, and set how many tweets are visible on your site. Use the dynamic feed to raise user engagement, promote your Twitter account, and build credibility among your web visitors.
How social is your online business?
The social media industry has grown tremendously over the past decade and continues to create plentiful opportunities for businesses striving to grow and succeed online. How are you taking advantage of platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to increase brand engagement and reach? We’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below.
Hello,
Very useful module indeed. I have one request though. Nowadays Instagram is as popular as facebook and some clients ask for an instagram feed too sometimes. Is it possible for the team to add that module too in future updates?
Hi Kaviraj
The Instagram feed module is part of our to-do-list. 🙂 Thanks for your suggestions as well.
Hello Divi Supreme,
Any Ideas on when the Instagram feed will be a module added?
Hi Jay, that’s on our list however, we do not know when this will be out. Hopefully once we finished up our backlogs.
